Why focus on Bus Stops first?

We decided to focus on Bus stops and putting out the data for these. For three main reasons:

1. They are 97% of the NaPTAN data currently
2. They cover "the first and last" mile of any journey
3. There are many areas where bus is the only transport available

We also decided to base our personas on interviews with users, being informed by both CEN, and the Atkins work - we should be compatible with these standards

We made the decision to begin with Wheelchair users, as Bus Operators are reporting the accessibility of their buses for wheelchair users into BODS/TNDS using their TxC (TransxChange) files - this let's start to put together accessible stops with buses which are accessible (Low floor or kneeling/ramp/wheelchair space)
